How do I Access Insights?
and what are they?

Insights are Facebook's answer to web page analysis.  Also known as web analytics, the process is used to collect internet data, sort it, analyze it, and report it to those who use the information to understand and optimize web page content.

For each Facebook page, Insights tracks the number of page views, unique views, total interactions, wall posts, discussion topics, fans, new fans, removed fans, reviews, photo views, audio plays, and video plays.  Facebook provides this service free of charge.

Example

To access Insights for the pages you administer:

  1. Go to your Facebook page (not profile, not group ... page).
  2. Click on Edit Page just under your logo on the left side of your page.  That will take you to the place where you make changes to the different sections of your page (see below).
  3. Click on All Page Insights halfway down on the right side (see below).
  4. You should see a graph showing page views.  That's Insights.  You're there.

This is a snapshot, not the actual page.
